Abstract

Epidermoid and dermoid cysts are extremely rare entity of benign origin. This may occur anywhere in the
body. 7% are found in the head and neck region. Due to variable clinical presentation there is possibility
of making errors in correct diagnosis. Hence it is recommended that specialized imaging examinations
should be used along with the histopathological examination to confirm the diagnosis. The ideal treatment
of choice is surgical excision.
